About Us

British Ice Skating is the trading name of the National Ice Skating Association of the United Kingdom Ltd, having re-branded in 2018 as part of exciting plans for future projects, including sponsorships and partnerships with commercial bodies.

We are the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of Ice Skating in all its forms.

The company is based at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, a premises run by Sheffield International Venues, which is also the home to numerous other sporting National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and which has state of the art equipment and facilities for a multitude of sporting activities.

This site is operated and maintained for and on behalf of British Ice Skating by Whittaker Office Supplies Limited (T/A Whittaker Workplace Solutions).

Heading up British Ice Skating is CEO Michelle Draper, supported by the Senior Management Team of Kirstie Robinson (Events and Development Manager), Charlotte Pearson (Finance Manager) and Martin Hunt (Operations Manager).  We have a small but dedicated team of Administrators and Officers, our primary goal is to serve our membership and do all we can to promote the sport of Ice Skating within the UK, to those who have, and have not yet, already fallen in love with it!
